Very nice!
I also have some news of "my" Cabochard! Tomorrow or Wednesday I'm driving to pick it up!
I'm very excited, and also for being part of this lovely family.
Then I'll need some time repair somethings and get the legal (final) register able to go to water.
All the best, I'lll keep you guys post it!

Thank's JJ85

I know one thing is missing that I have to make: the wooden around the boat, it shoul be maybe 4cm and round edge right?
If you could neasure that I would apreciate. Then I just need to go and found the teka wood...
Do you make any treatment to the iron keel? or just bottom paint over it? I'm thinking International bottom paint and first the primer, primocon i believe. Should be ok... ;-)
thanks for all the help! really apreciated here!
all the best
Hugo
PS.: tomorrow will be a long day, 3h drive up to LIsbon and another 3h down home with the boat... ;-) but happy!

bout keel treatment u can passivate rust with phosphoric acid and personally i would have it coal tarred the anciant way wink to the ecolo maniacs can add an anode screwed on the keel as a plus, do not paint the anode for christ sake
primer is no need for the anti fouling paint your brand of paint is ok

Again, thanks for all the advice. great, great help!

I don't understand "coal tarred" I mean I understnd the words but never heard about the product...
I can tell this boat will be always home on the trailer, and moved to water for sailing, maybe a weekend overnight.

save your money and time then no need for antifouling paint or anything of thee sort just rinse your boat with a spray of fresh water as well as the trailor and everything will be allright. coaltar was a residue after heating coal to obtain lighting gas it was used on wood boats mixed with collophony and cement on deck joints for water protection also used as an antifouling paint untill mid sixties
